5. HIPAA Compliance
Because Marryland Therapy provides mental health / therapeutic services, you may be asked to complete intake forms or submit health or insurance information. Please note:
HIPAA-Compliant Forms: All forms designated for the transmission of personal health information on our Site are HIPAA-compliant and designed to securely collect and transmit Protected Health Information (PHI). These forms are encrypted and meet applicable federal standards to safeguard your privacy.
Use of PHI: Any PHI you provide through these forms will be used solely for the purpose of providing clinical services, coordinating care, billing, processing insurance claims, or as otherwise permitted or required by law.
Insurance Information: If you submit insurance information, we will use it to verify eligibility, process claims, and communicate with your insurance provider as needed. Your insurance information will be treated with the same high level of confidentiality as your PHI.
