The Sweetest Love
Why presence is one of the most meaningful ways we experience love.. ..
My baby was born last year, a bundle of joy who changed everything. But alongside motherhood, I rediscovered another kind of love: presence.
On Valentine’s Day, we often think of love as something romantic, something exchanged between partners. For many, Valentine’s Day looks exactly like that; for others, love is experienced in quieter, more personal ways. The deepest love I’ve aimed for and experienced is the kind that slows you down, the kind that invites you to be fully here.
Being present, truly living in the moment is an act of love. In a world that constantly pulls us forward, presence asks us to pause. To take in each smile, each coo, each milestone as it happens. To love without distraction. And yes, I am definitely still soaking in all the baby feels.
I am grateful for the village that steps in when I cannot, and for my husband, whose love shows up in quiet, steady ways that make space for me to slow down and be present. I am also grateful for the presence of God. His peace, His guidance, and His reminder that love unfolds in divine timing have grounded me in this season.
Love isn’t always loud or wrapped in ribbons. Don’t get me wrong, I do love ribbons and wrapping, and I appreciate those gestures, sometimes love is quiet. It’s showing up with your whole heart, your full attention, and your willingness to stay.
I continue to be reminded that the sweetest love isn’t something you receive, it’s something you practice. It’s presence.
If this season feels busy, heavy, or full of transition, you’re not alone. Slowing down and learning to be present, individually or in relationship is a practice that can be supported. Feel free to explore my services or reach out for a consultation.
